At CAL we use the Milwaukee curriculum (SAIG) Social Academic Instructional Groups for classroom behavior, emotional management, and attendance. PBIS is a Positive Behavior Support System that acknowledges students showing Cadet pride. The Cadet behavior support program is a school-wide prevention program for all students who need added support throughout their day. Zones of regulation has been introduced to grades K-3, it’s a curriculum designed to foster self-regulation and emotional control. These programs are meant to help teach the students how to identify emotions, what triggers them, how their body feels when they are experiencing a feeling, and how to respond to the emotion appropriately.
