4th grade peeled and sliced LOTS of apples this afternoon for our freezer apple pie filling. Their reward for their hard work was the apple crisp they made this morning, fresh from the oven! It was delicious!

Dezi working hard!
We were given a box of nice apples so 4th grade made an apple crisp this morning! They are excited to taste test after lunch! They have been learning about food preservation by pioneers as part of a social studies unit so this afternoon they plan to put together some freezer apple pie filling to use later in the year. They were quick to point out that pioneers did not have the freezer option like we do today!
