1st grade earned a PBIS reward and had ice cream yesterday!
3rd grade enjoyed a fast-paced, fun-filled wetlands presentation from ISU's WaterWorks team. They played migration hopscotch and learned why the wetlands are so important for birds along their "Mississippi Fly Way."
5th grade spent some time on Friday cutting up cucumbers to make pickles! Yum!

1st grade explored more with light. Today they sorted objects into 3 categories- opaque (let's no light through), translucent (some light through), and transparent ( all light through).
1st grade enjoyed exploring with light yesterday and seeing what happens with different objects in a beam of light! We will continue with this next week for science.

4th grade loves high five Friday so much that we do our own version to highlight and recognize our own classmates.
4th grade students are researching animals of their choice, highlighting specialized structures and features to support survival, growth, and reproduction. We learn how to find and navigate through different sources such as books, articles, and videos to do our best research!
Teamwork is the name of the game! It can be hard working together, but 4th graders are up to the challenge!
Spending and saving on a budget can be challenging! 4th grade students were faced with challenges like choosing places to live within their budget, picking up extra work for more income, and having to go without streaming services or buying new clothes in our simulation. Students were able to have great discussions and weigh pros and cons when making decisions about how to spend their money.

3rd grade headed to the AG fair today. What fun we had!
5th grade took a field trip outside this morning for reading! They spent time making observations and used their five senses. They will utilize those descriptive writing skills on their personal narratives!
1st grade enjoyed collecting some data today by asking their classmates their favorite animal found in the wild. We then were able to ask and answer questions about each groups data!
Kinder prepared for making their dill dip by coding robots to collect ingredients and practice the steps of the recipe. They also practiced measuring with measuring spoons, cups, and sand. Their practice paid off... everyone agreed the dip was delicious!
